Most importantly, if you enjoy it, you shouldn't let other people's horribly idiotic reasoning dictate your actions. There are so many people who's happiness you're contributing to by translating this novel (me, for example) and you shouldn't stop. Those who lash out at you are doing so under false and hypocritical notions of "translator etiquette." Bull shit. If you enjoy it, do it. If you enjoy it, and it makes other's happy, put even more effort toward it. Those who don't like can have the freedom to avoid coming to this blog to read it. ReplyDeleteI really hope you do consider on continuing the translation for this novel. I truly think it's great that you are willing to take the time to translate this novel. I don't think you should pay attention to those who don't like it since they can easily make a choice to not read. Although they don't, they still read it anyhow. I believe if things are as is, the chapters won't be out till next year. And a note to all those impolite users, stop bashing people who are willing to spend their time to do something they want to do. If you don't like what you see, don't look at the content.

TDG is truly a great light novel. If I could only read the original content to satisfy my eagerness but I can't =/ so I'll just wait for you godly translators. In Translators do we TRUST! =P

If you dont know this, you must be new to this side of the internet [When in Rome, live as the Romans do]. If you asked Thyaeria if its fine to do some translation for your own satisfaction then post his agreement here, everybody will be happy since they wont feel threatened.
ReplyDeleteYou are right in your own way but at the same time it offensive. Its like saying the truth and being frank is right but its always not the best. You don't tell a person he is ugly even if he is because its etiquette. Similar thing here, its etiquette to get some permission from the person doing the translation, or else the community will feel bad.
